|I begin with a pencil drawing. I draw from life and often draw different parts separately. For example, I drew the flower on one piece of tracing paper; and I drew the forward set of leaves on another paper and the back leaves with the flower stem on another paper. Then I put them together by placing them all on one sheet of tracing paper, or I scan them into Photoshop® and put them together digitally. Then I transfer the drawing to stretched, 90lb Arches, hot press paper.|
